Unmerited Praise
My newest short story is posted on the Café! “The Trouble with Rumors” is a single, involving snake charmers and undeserved accolades.

I have a new short story up on the Confabulator Café! The February story prompt for the Café was to write about an unlikely friendship.
My new story is also the third installment of an impromptu series set in the magickers story universe. It is preceded by “Blood Bond” and “The Apothecary’s Help.”
And now, the story: Blood is Thicker than Water
I have become an official short story contributer to the Confabulator Café! The Café is a website run by the writer’s group I’m a part of. I have been contributing monthly short fiction since May of 2016, and plan to continue doing so. A continuously updated list of my work appears at this link: http://www.confabulatorcafe.com/author/inee/
Two of my poems have been published in Showcase Selections ~ 2016. Showcase entries are selected in a juried contest. My poem “Ghosts” received first place, and “Ice Forest” took fourth!
Showcase Selections can be bought at the following link: http://www.blurb.com/b/7084023-showcase-selections-2016
Last night I went to the elementia reception for issue xiii. It was quite the exciting evening! I even managed to be the lucky person who had the lights go out while I was up reading, haha. Despite this (or perhaps because of it) everyone seemed to love my reading and were very congratulatory.
Here is a link to the elementia webpage. At the bottom of the page are pdf’s of the magazines so you can read them! My piece is on page 44 of issue xiii. https://www.jocolibrary.org/teens/elementia
I just got home from attending the reception held in honor of author Naomi Shihab Nye and the poets who were published in elementia magazine. It was more fun than I would have thought, and I got to read my poem aloud. I even did my first book (er, magazine) signings for my friends and family who came.
Also, a thank you to everyone who came for me. Thanks for all the support (and compliments)!
